The best, cleanest and most friendly staff of any storage unit I have ever used. It is all climate controlled, big elevators, three floors and all very affordable. I couldn't be more impressed.

Yesterday, I visited the Facility in Daphne, AL to remove my insurance.They gave me the best customer service ever. Not only did they remove the insurance they also reversed the late fee that I had. They gave me a hug and apologized for the horrible customer service I experienced at the facility where my unit is located. I recently moved to Alabama four months ago from Atlanta, GA where I left my storage. I rent a unit from the Lakewood Atlanta, GA facility. If you want to be treated fairly and with respect ,then don't go to that location. They never sent me notice via email, letter or phone call to make me aware that the rent on my unit was going up. I called them to update my new number and address two months prior. I also gave the corporate ofice my update cellphone number as well. Just recently when I called Lakewood Raven advised me that any changes over the phone would be saved in the notes section. So this is why I didn't get my notices. They told me to go online and update my info. Also a month prior when I called I asked for the late fee to be reversed. Reason being that they advised me when I called them that I had a week to pay my rent or the late fee will apply. I explained that I had an emergency but I will have the payment within the next four or five days. I paid on the 5th day and received a late fee. I called from the Daphne, AL office and was told by Dee (who claims that he's the manager) it's not his fault if I was misinformed and the disclosures was sent to my email so I should have read them. He said he doesn't give any refunds or fee reversals, as he laughs in my face and says have a nice day. Then hangs up never asking me if there is anything else he can help me with. He is rude and very disrespectful. Horrible customer service. And they never honored the free first month rental sign that displayed in front of the building. They(Dee) also forced me to get 3,000 in insurance on my unit when I told him I didn't want or need insurance. I gave the telephone back to Maureen(who tried to console me) and left that Daphne facility in tears. Extra Space Storage left a bad taste in my mouth. However, this time I dealt with Erin & Maureen. These ladies are awsome, they went out of their way to write the wrongs of the other facility. They are very professional and very knowledgeable about the company policy and procedures. This was the highlight of my day. I totally recommend this facility in Daphne to anyone looking for great customer service and a great location for storage.
Extra Space Storage is an excellent facility! The property is incredibly clean and secure. I have rented here for a couple of years and all of my belongings have been safe and unharmed. The staff is amazing! Very knowledgable, friendly and helpful. I am so glad I found this storage facility!! I would not go anywhere else!
