Helpful people but bad products. Kobalt brand (Lowes) is just not a good idea sometimes. Tried some aluminum ramps also that failed with half the weight rated load on them and cost me a couple hundred in damage, but hey I got my money back. No one makes quality anymofe I guess.
Do not open an account! The pro discount is not enough to go through the headaches that I went through. No one in the shop seems to know anything about anything. Few times you find a kind soul and he and she will help otherwise the hide if they see you coming down the alley. I started going to the Fairhope Ace and while they don't have the same inventory, the salesmen are kind, prompt, helpful and knowledgeable. No wonder the company is having problems. Advise to the company= "start with training and attracting the right employees"
Fast forward several days. I found someone to order my 'fridge for me, but now i can't get the thing delivered! First, delivery window is 12-4. I called the store at about 12:30 to see if they could narrow the delivery time. She said she couldn't but the driver would call 30 minutes ahead. The guy called my husband to say he was 5 minutes away. My husband told him that I was at the apartment (15 minutes away) and what happened to the 30 minute courtesy call! The guy showed up, apparently, and left.
Arrived early evening, weekday. Needed to reinstate Lowe's credit account so I could buy a new 'fridge. The clerk tried to help me, but she wasn't able to. In the meantime, three people came to the customer service desk and the clerk never acknowledged them. They waited at least 10 minutes before I left. One man said he never did get waited on! Decided I would go ahead and order the 'fridge and just pay cash. No can do; there wasn't anyone in the appliance section.
I like shopping at Lowes because they have so many items at competitive prices. I had to get two sheets of plywood and there was no one around to help. When you do see an employee, they are very helpful.0
Store is always clean and the employees are always helpful. My problem is never being able to get on to The Lowe's web site. If the product I'm looking for is in the store I'd like to know it and where it's at or how much it is. There was at an item that was in the store I was interested in but there was no display and no price. Since I couldn't get on the web site I had to track somebody down to get the information.
